Kenneth Glenn
145 lbs
1-0 Pro (5-1 Amateur)
Kenn Glenn is an undefeated amateur M.M.A. fighter in the Lightweight division. He is one of the brightest prospects not only in the Midwest, but all of the sport. His background however is much different than most. He was a standout wrestler in North Carolina and amassed many achievements in an illustrious grappling career. Although he had dreams of instantly pursuing his M.M.A. career, his goal of serving his country came first. Kenn joined the United States Army Reserve in 2002. Since joining as a Private/E1, he has achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant/E6 in seven years which is a very short time. He has earned numerous decorations and achievements through 4 years of reserve and 5 years of active duty service including 14 months overseas in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Since his return from overseas he has been able to find time to further his training at Team Howell MMA in Winona, MN, while stationed at Fort McCoy, WI. Kenn has quickly become much more than a wrestler and his style is not only crowd friendly, but very breathtaking.
Many amateur fighters are content just to fight, but Kenn was much different than most. Kenn wanted challenges from the beginning and in his signature win, he took on undefeated Corey Anderson(8-0) a very highly touted Minnesota prospect. Corey was no match for Kenn’s well rounded game and after a few viscous rounds of dominance Anderson was forced to submit form the pressure in round 2. Kenn then followed that up with an all around dominant unanimous decision win over another up and coming prospect out of Minnesota, John Castaneda(4-0), to raise his record to 5-0. His total opponent’s combined records is 15-2. He then accepted the challenge of the other top prospect in the Midwest, Ewan Niven(4-0), a transplant out of Scotland on May 14 in Bloomington, MN. Tho Kenn lost the fight, he made the move to the pro ranks and is currently 1-0, winning his debut on MMA Big Show in Ohio July 30.
Kenn is still currently a proud active duty member of the US Army stationed at Fort McCoy, WI. His goals of serving his country and becoming an M.M.A. champ are moving forward as planned. Kenn currently needs help from sponsors to not only help further his career, but to further his training so that he is able to become the star he is destined to be. Any support is highly appreciated and we do our best to return all the exposure we can to anyone who is able to help this brave American reach his lofty goals
